About us
A brief History
HUD Solutions Sweden AB was formed in 2014 to commercialise HUD technology outside the aerospace industry. The HUD Solutions team was formed by an experienced management team, bringing multi-functional experience in financial, business development, legal and technical competences.
Our Vision
HUD Solutions has one overriding vision; to bring the established benefits of head-up display (HUD) capabilities to emerging market segments such as in construction, transportation and other commercial vehicles. Building on our expertise in the aerospace and automotive sectors, we apply human centred engineering principles to deliver advanced HUD capabilities to significantly improve driver comfort and overall safety of operations.
Our Partners
HUD Solutions has partnered with Accilator Technologies AB in Stockholm, which together with Accilator Volburg Automotive SIA in Salaspils (Latvia) forms the Accilator Group. Accilator is a complete partner for development and industrialization of electronic and electromechanical solutions with several contracted customers in the commercial vehicle segment. In addition we have also formed allliance with a group of skilled development partners within optics, electronics and fine mechanics.
The Management Team
Staffan Sahlström
Chief Executive Officer
Staffan Sahlström has started several companies, such as IDTM in 1991, a world wide drug testing company with service in over 80 countries. In 2010 he sold IDTM. Staffan also co founded EDTS in 1996 and ICT Health Solutions in 2008. Companies that has gone through successful exits.
In 2010 he was awarded the degree of Henley MBA of the University of Reading, UK. Today involved in a couple of start up companies, board member and CEO of First Wellness Testing Sweden AB.
Nigel Pippard
HUD Expert
Nigel Pippard has over 25 years experience in engineering, technical & project management roles within the aerospace and electronics (avionics) industries. This includes several years experience in the design & certification of HUD systems for commercial aircraft. Within HUD Solutions, Nigel is primarily responsible for technical oversight and project management.
Rikard Rockhammar
Chief Operations Officer
Rikard Rockhammar has more than 25 years of experience from technical sales B2B and business development in an international environment with 15 years as CEO within the Addtech group. Most of his time Rikard has been working towards industrial customers and especially within the commercial vehicle segment. Rikard is driven to find new business opportunities and his strength is to engage and develop team and organizations to achieve profitability.
Erik Ekengren
Chief Technology Officer
Erik Ekengren has more than 15 years of exprecience from advanced product development and technology based business development. The majority of this time has been spent working towards customers in the commercial vehicle segment. Erik has always been working in small, entrepreneurial and dynamic organizations as he loves being part of creating new business opportunities and building new organizations to realize them. Erik's key strengt lies in being the technical nerd that also masters the mechanism of business development.
